The Bonbeach Football Netball Club expresses its deepest sympathies to the Stewart family on the recent passing of Warren Stewart, at the age of 97. Warren was married to our clubs eldest living Life Member Eileen Stewart.
Warren, a WW2 veteran, was one of the original Bonbeach volunteers and was a great behind the scenes contributor and a big support to Eileen and their daughters, starting the first Ladies Axillary Committee in 1962. Three of Warrens’s sons and a grandson have played for Bonbeach over the years.
The ‘Eileen Stewart award’ provides yearly recognition for those volunteers that go above and beyond. Warren Stewart will always be remembered as a significant contributor to our great club
