Bonbeach FNC AGM Announcement

The Beginning of a New Era for Bonbeach FNC
The 2025 AGM marked a significant step forward for the Bonbeach Football Netball Club, setting strong foundations for the future. A major restructure of committee roles has been introduced to better distribute the workload and streamline reporting processes, representing a positive and strategic shift for the club.
Throughout 2025, the committee worked hard to develop detailed job descriptions and an organisational chart that will allow tasks to be clearly defined and delegated. This structure empowers members who want to contribute by taking ownership of a specific role, without necessarily needing to sit on the committee. Each role will instead report to a manager who holds a committee position.
The six committee managed portfolios moving forward will be:
• Food & Beverage
• Sponsorship & Membership
• Merchandise & Uniforms
• Grants & Facilities
• Functions & Events
• Game Day Coordination
Each portfolio will oversee a team of volunteers working within their area, creating a more efficient and supportive operational environment. A key element of the restructure is that the organisational chart is effectively divided into two clear streams: Club Operations and Team Operations.
Another major milestone is the restructure of the Executive Committee, an initiative that positions Bonbeach FNC as a leader in community sport for equality and inclusiveness. Current President Paul Smith proposed the introduction of a third Vice President, creating a structure where each Vice President oversees one of the club’s three divisions:
• Men’s Football
• Netball
• Women’s Football
Together with the President, Secretary, and Treasurer, these Vice Presidents will form a six-person Executive Panel. This modern and inclusive structure ensures that future presidents may emerge from any of these leadership roles, strengthening the club’s succession planning and long-term sustainability.
Long-serving President Paul Smith will continue in the role, supported by a broader executive team that will reduce the hands-on burden he has carried in recent years. In 2026, our three Vice Presidents will work collaboratively to lead the club, guided by President Smith’s extensive experience.
This evolution reflects the club’s commitment to its core values of Respect, Community, Connected, and Accountability. We are proud of this outcome and excited about the strong leadership framework it establishes, positioning Bonbeach FNC as a true community leader off the field for many years ahead.
